Avenue of Flags
The “Avenue of Flags” program allows our Forsyth-Cumming Optimist Club to fund and support our community through this wonderfully patriotic service project.
For an annual subscription payment of $55 our volunteers will place a flag in front of your home or business over five (5) annual federal holidays. Proceeds from this fundraiser benefit local nonprofits, scouting organizations, community programs, student scholarships, and more.
* We accept new subscriber applications year-round. However, new applications received after May 1st
will begin receiving their flag placement over the 4th of July holiday, for a prorated amount of $44.
Our 2025 – 2026 “Avenue of Flags” Holiday Schedule:
- Memorial Day – May 26, 2025
- Independence Day – July 4, 2025
- Labor Day through 9/11 Day of Remembrance – September 2025
- Veteran’s Day – November 11, 2025
- President’s Day – February 16, 2026
As of October 2024, we are approving new flag locations before sending an invoice and online payment link through PayPal. All payments may be made by Credit Card or by check.
